Pediatrician
Dr. West moved to Arizona in 1974, after graduating from the University of Florida, both undergraduate and medical school. He did his first two years of residency training in Phoenix at Phoenix Hospitals Affiliated Pediatric Program (PHAPP) and then completed his residency at Stanford University in Palo Alto. He started Cactus Children's Clinic in 1977 with Dr. McGee.
Dr. West is board certified in pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association. He has been a member of the Maricopa County Board of Health the past 6 years. Dr. West has a particular interest in a variety of developmental issues, such as ADD.
Dr. West plays tennis, and not golf. He is married, has 2 sons, and 5 cats (some of whom are kin to Dr. J's cats).

Pediatrician
Dr. Michael is a native of Albuquerque, where he received his BA in chemistry and MD from the University of New Mexico. He completed his pediatric residency through Phoenix Hospitals Affiliated Pediatric Program (PHAPP), and was Chief Pediatric Resident at St. Joseph's Hospital. He joined Cactus Children's Clinic in 1979. Dr. Michael is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
For the past four years, Dr. Michael has served as Chairman of the Pediatric Department at Banner Thunderbird Hospital. His volunteer affiliations include serving as Medical Director of the West Valley Crisis Center, and Committee Member of the Comprehensive Medical Dental Program for Arizona foster children.
Dr. Michael met wife, Karen ("Critter"), while at UNM. His daughter, Kris recently received her BFA from ASU. His son, Jon attends GCC/ASU West and plans to pursue a career in medicine or music.
Dr. Michael lives in Peoria with his family including 2 unruly dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds, and occasional rescued furry or feathered friends. He is an avid golfer and fitness enthusiast, who continually works on improving his Spanish-speaking skills. He greatly enjoys his interactions with pediatric patients and their families.

Pediatrician
Dr. Jacquemart is a native Arizonan. She graduated from Arizon State University and the University of Arizona Medical School, class of 1977.(So no matter who wins in the ASU-UA rival sports games, she is happy!) She did her pediatric internship and residency at the Phoenix Hospitals Affiliated Pediatric Program(PHAPP) and was Chief Resident in Pediatrics at St. Joseph's Hospital. In 1980 she joined her PHAPP colleagues-Mary McGee, Steve West and Cecil Michael-at Cactus Children's Clinic.
Dr. J is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of the National organizations and local chapters of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. She is especially interested in pediatric dermatology and loves to see and help her patients grow from infancy to young adulthood.
Dr. J lives in Phoenix with her husband-John, son-Robert, four dogs, three cats, goldfish and cockatiel named Peabody and a gerbil somewhere in the house. The family horse, Dusty, lives happily in Laveen.

Pediatrician
Sangeeta Ojha was born in Michigan, but has lived in several places, including Pune, India, for a short time. Her junior high and high school days were spent in Indianapolis, Indiana. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology at Purdue University and then left the Midwest to attend medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston. Residency at the Phoenix Children's Hospital - Maricopa Medical Center program brought her to the Valley of the Sun. She practiced pediatrics with CIGNA for several years before joining Cactus Children's Clinic.
Dr. Ojha is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is especially interested in asthma and allergies.
Dr. Ojha has an identical twin sister who is also a pediatrician, but do not worry about getting confused, since her sister lives in California. Dr. Ojha lives in Phoenix with her husband, her daughter and their two rambunctious dachshunds. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys reading, travel, and mountain biking/hiking.

Pediatrician
Dr. Vargas was born and raised in the Bay Area in California. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in molecular biology and then went up the road to Stanford University for his MD degree. After training at Seattle Children's Hospital in pediatrics he returned to practice in San Jose. After marrying a native of New Mexico they decided to move to the Valley of the Sun. Dr. Vargas is a board certified pediatrician and is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He enjoys educating families about their health and has several intersts including pediatric safety. Dr. Vargas lives in Phoenix with his wife Maria. He enjoys active sports like hiking and running, he even survived the Rock and Roll marathon, which is a good thing given that he also likes to cook and eat!

Nurse Practitioner
Krystal comes to us from the deep south (Alabama). She received her Bachelor's of Science in Child and Family Development from Auburn University. Upon graduating, she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where she worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Child Life Specialist. Deciding to switch geers, Krystal went back to school at Vanderbilt University where she received her Masters in Nursing and began her career as a PNP. She is passionate about child nutrition, and especially enjoys the adolescent population.
When she is not caring for patients she enjoys spending time with her minature Yorkie (Willie) and Cat (Jettie) and shopping for new clothes.

Pediatric Nurse Practioner
Rebecca comes to us from the East Coast- she was born in Maryland and raised in Virginia. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology. Upon graduating, she entered nursing school at Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Masters degree in Nursing. While completing her graduate education, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit at VCU Health Systems. Upon completion of her graduate education, she moved to Arizona to begin her career as a PNP at Cactus Children’s Clinic. Rebecca enjoys working with pediatric patients and promoting health among children and their families. Some of Rebecca’s personal interests include traveling, snow-boarding, and learning to cook.

Pediatric Nurse Practioner
Bethany Hamm is the newest PNP to join the CCC team. She recently moved to Arizona after finishing her Masters Nursing program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She grew up in Oregon and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health, Psychology, & Biology from Western Oregon University. She is passionate about nutrition, child development & behavioral issues. When Bethany is not working she enjoys spending time participating in health & fitness, outdoor recreation, cooking, art, & traveling.
